Restoration of an Oak finger block parquet floor.
This floor was originally laid in the 1950s when the property was first built, the floor was in need of some TLC and
this is the first time it would been sanded and re finished, since it was first done.
As you can see the floor is looking worn, it did not look to bad for its age until we started floor sanding, then with each pass the oak parquet started to clean up, as you can see the difference in the photos.
We carried out some remedial repairs on the floor and finished sanding the floor until it was clean and smooth.
Then we applied hardwax oil to the oak parquet blocks, the hardwax oil brings out the grain and gives the floor definition, needless to say our clients were very happy with the out come.
